A healthy, naturally sweet dessert/snack that little ones will love — this beetroot halwa uses no refined sugar, just dates powder, beetroot, semolina, and nuts, with a hint of cardamom. Simple, nutritious, and gentle on baby’s tummy.
Heat a little ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan and add suji(Semolina). Roast on low flame until it turns slightly golden and gives off a nutty aroma.
Slowly pour in hot water while stirring continuously. This step helps to avoid lumps and gives the halwa a smooth texture.

Stir in the beetroot puree and cook for 2–3 minutes to remove the raw smell. The mixture will turn into a beautiful pinkish-red base.
Once the mixture thickens, add dates powder, cardamom, and nuts powder. Keep stirring until everything blends well and the halwa leaves the sides of the pan.
Finish off with a few drops of ghee for shine and flavor. Serve warm or at room temperature—both taste great!Servings 1
